Morning Husky Snowshoe Hike

The area around Tromsø Villmarkssenter offers a wide range of hiking possibilities by snowshoes. On this trip, we’ll explore Kvaloya, Norway's fourth largest island only 25 minutes from Tromsø city center, and hopefully, see some of the arctic wildlife during our trip out into the wild.

Once at our camp, we’ll provide snowshoes and clothing to keep you warm on the trip. Our guide will talk you through the route and lead you onto an exciting trek into the Arctic countryside. The mountains locally offer great views of the surrounding area of Tromsø and Balsford.  If the weather is good we’ll enjoy some hot drinks outside and admire the views before heading back to our center, otherwise, you can relax in our lavvo by the fire when you get back.

Please note: This program requires active participation and good physical condition. It is therefore recommended for children over 12 years of age. Please take contact with us if you are unsure about the required fitness level.

Please note: this does not include dog sledding but you'll have time to meet our huskies whilst at our centre.
